76 ltd 900.. Does anyone know the TRUE number of these that were made? Ive heard 2,000.. Some guy trying to sell one on ebay said only 350 were made, which i know is false

I'm not sure, but for a one year only bike, I sure have seen a ton of them in my lifetime.

It's a leaned forward position, but its not that bad. I have never enjoyed the straight up in the air position and got very tired of it on my vrod.
I'm a short 5'8" and I can get really comfortable with my helmet just above the gauges and my feet on the rear pegs.
On a long haul I imagine it would put pressure on my wrists though.

So replacing the bars, what are some suggestions? I had some slightly swept back drag bars on the last bike and I liked them. I was looking at the clubmans but have never ridden long with them, they look to be similar to how it is now.

The clubmans would do that, but I ride longer distances, so I am unsure about the comfort and I don't have rearsets.

Turns out, there was some ten year old gummed up gas in the carbs causing a vacuum seal on the throttle. I rebuilt them and the throttle works good now, and it seems to be running well.
