It looks like it's in incredibly good shape for how old it is. At least from the pictures.

It isn't in bad shape at all, though it does look a bit better in the photos than in person. There is less wear, rust, and damage than you would expect for a 43 year old motorcycle, so I'm guessing that it probably sat for quite some time! It does turn over with some effort, but I think the batt is discharged/old and there are some minor issues with the engine too. I will get this bad boy back up and running like new eventually though!

I was actually shocked at how clean, rust free and shiny the forks and wheel chrome is though!!!!

LOL! Well, I don't want to get in any trouble on this forum, especially since I would be lost on some things without you guys. I will be posting it on my new website www.mykaws.com (just a site to post my projects for people to see...something else to waste my time with basically!)when I have a chance to update the page for the A1

Checked the battery and found it to be under two volts! I think the spare (brand new) battery I have in the garage that I had bought for my '80 kz250 will work as a replacement. I also removed the oil cap to have a look in the reservoir. I found it to be in two pieces and ghetto rigged with a sheet metal screw!!!

Cool bike! I had a 67 A1SS (high pipes) about 20 years ago. The hardest parts i had to find was the petcock rubber pieces, points and condensers, and the rubber bits on top of each carb. Cables were also hard to find.

I have some pics i will have to post so you can see what mine looked like.

So my Samurai has been sitting in the garage for over 2 years now. I think when I am done rewiring the kz750, I will dive into this project finally. I just came across a site that actually has the parts fiche and can get at least some of the NOS parts I will need. :woohoo:
