pics of my KZ-1000G(ongoing project)

Here is pics of my KZ!!! It is not finished,but it is ridable. It has been lowwered 2" all around,new paint(done myself),new tires and a little detailing. i have not buffed and polished the paint cause it is only a week old. I plan on doing more mods as time and money will allow. It has a 1105 kit with 36mm Mikuni RS carbs,Kerker exhaust,stock cams with heavy springd for more rpm and stock ignition with Accell Super coils an wires(Dyna 2000 soon!!!). I love the bike and the paint.
A previous owner installed Mikuni carbs on my project.
Someone said they might be the RS kind. Can you confirm they are the same?

those look like Mikuni RS carbs. what size I can't tell. On a 550, I'm guessin' 31mm 0r 33mm? Thanks for the comments on the paint.

the carbs look like rs types but maybe an older model cab from makuni. how does it run with them?

Awesome looking "G"! I guess the fuel injection gave out. Most seem to have quit working on the older kaws. Keep us posted with plenty more pictures!

Those 550 carbs must be from newer bike with "downdraft" carbs and ports?? I think the tops are designed to be level with the ground. Maybe not though since the float bowls aren't angled. Are they flatslide smoothbores? I've seen a bunch of RS mikunis but never quite like those. Very interesting...

Thanks 79MKII!!! The paint was a bear to get to match on both sides correctly!!!! Yes the fuel injection gave out on hte previous owner I guess. The carbs were on there when I purchased the bike.

Just did some more work on my KZ. I put on a 6" over swing arm on with the stock 16" rim,since I just put on a new tire just a few months ago. I'm more or less going to drag race it next year at a local 8th mile track. I'm asking what would be the best sprocket combo to use? I have a 15/37 set up now,on a 630 chain. Also would any of you would have any racing parts you wouldn't mind selling? I need an air shifter and a rev limiter,because I can't run a 2step or wheelie bars in my class,and maybe a shiftlight also. I will have to purchase a new exhaust. Mine is to low,like 1" off the ground. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
P.S what would be the stickiest tire to use on a 18x3.5" rim? Cannot be a slick,D.O.T tire. I am putting on the rim on over the winter.
