rebuilding a kawasaki 305 '81

iv just taken charge of my nu (but old )baby, lol and shes in bits,

i live in east sussex, england. so anyone got any places they know that i can get parts for her...I DONT DO EBAY/palpay.. .. as iv 2 major fall-outs with them.

major part is a wireing loom,

yes am a woman so i like to do this with a little bit of help from the lads,or anyone else that could help. but i also need a manual......im sure that would come in very handy...

Good for you. You should be able to find parts on here but I wouldn't shut out ebay as a possibility because it's really the best place to find what you need.

Check at top of this page for "KZ Information" then "Filebase" choose your year and the bike, you will find a wiring diagram.

Welcome to the forum Redd, we do have a member here from the UK that just recently bought a 305 CSR but I'm not sure where in the UK he is. You might want to try sending a PM to Tommotbird if he's close he might be able to help you out.

Is your wiring harness damaged or missing entirely? I do know where I can lay my hands on one (I think) there is a salvage yard close to me and I bought a seat from them for my 305. IIRC the wireing harness was still there and intact.

I do have a factory service manual if you get stuck on something.

after a nice ride, today in the sun ....and showers, i come home and fiddled with my kawi 305 ...the work begins...i managed to after tons of wd-40 and swearing and groaning i managed to take of the handle bar....gee who ever did the screws up well....and they where rusted on...the handle bar is off. and i just cleaned it....mucky job, everything is covered in rust...

cos i dont have a man in my life, i have to rebuild my baby all by myself...with help lol:laugh: but am gonna do it..

i just love it..my baby is my second prond and joy (my second is my other bike, snake, cat:laugh: ) as im starting at the beinging with her.

What is the issue with the wiring?

Redd, I just recieved a package from Tommotbird and his return address was on it. Turns out he is in East Sussex as well. Two CSR305's in the same town in the UK, what are the odds?

Looks like you have a bit of work to do on that bike.
The Gringo is right, I live in Brighton, East Sussex.

I have an 81 Csr 305 as well as a couple of other bikes.

I have a few parts knocking around- might even have a wiring loom
somewhere.:lol:
