a good friend of mine has a 1982 Kawasaki KZ750-N1 Spectre(Shaft) runs good drives good just has light rust on the tank and a head light out all other lights works does not lose or use oil ever part is that that it came with from 1982 and it all works 70% left on the back tire 50 % left on the frount just had full tune up he wants 600$ for it is that a good price??????

I think if the bike runs and has a clean title that $600 is a good price. My kz550 cost me $350 and it hadn't been started in 10yrs. I've spend probably another $400-$500 in replacement parts. So I think $600 is about right.

Clean title? Then $600 is a pretty reasonable amount...I found my 1982 KZ750R1 (running and w/title) for $650.:) Remember though, you'll still have to pour some more money into the scooter to keep is on the road and running well:laugh: :laugh:

yea it has a title i he is a good friend who has it he is selleing it because he neads the money for a car he sayes i can drive it befor i buy it so i plan on this will be the first (Shaft) bike i ever had does it feel difrent then a chain bike?

Some shafties do draw a little more power and there is a tendency for the rear of a shaftie bike to rise with power. At first it can be a little strange feeling but nothing big. It adds some weight but has little or no lube or tightening or noise. Which is nice. Sounds like a good deal to me as well.
