I'm a happy KZ'er.
The helmet is an HJC "Barbwire" and matched the bike relatively close. I was using a Bieffe that is one size too big (XL) for me. I got tired of it moving on my head everytime I got a crosswind:blink: (not safe)
Thought I would throw in a Before/After
Before....
...and after:)

After a few issues this morning, I finally got to take it out on it's maiden voyage since I bought it last summer. Although it was only 10 miles, and I was nervous as hell as to how far I might or might not get, it was a great ride.
Took it up to 75 with no problems:)
This is my first "smaller" bike, and will make a nice commuter, but I was used to the cruising of the 1000. So my next one is most likely going to be in the 900 to 1100 range.
Here is a pic just after the ride...

Thanks Tomrdgrnr that thing looks awesome:woohoo: I like that color and the 650 is a great bike!!
The color is actually Blue Metalflake from a rattlecan.
A friend of mine is a painter at a bodyshop, and has offered
to paint this one for the cost of the paint, and a few bucks
on the side. I like the color of this also, so I think I will take him on the offer on the next bike I get. I got some looks today when I stopped for gas, which made me feel good to have brought this back from the near-dead:)
So..this project has come to a close, and I can now enjoy
the rideB)
....I'm keeping an eye open for my next project..........

It's been awhile since I posted anything on this ride, but over the summer, I have developed some annoying oil leaks at the valve cover, tach drive, and possibly the head as well.
With that in mind, and since the head needs to come off for a gasket anyway, why not give this old girl a little boost for a winter project....
I've seen a few posts here regarding a 750 conversion...
Is this a good option, and if so, what do I need to do to make that happen?
Or would it be a better option to just throw on some new rings and leave it stock...
(compression test to be done today)
All opinions are invited on this one...
