Here's my 2 cents worth since you asked for input....I'd consider having the rims bead blasted as they would really compliment the aluminum swingarm and engine. With them painted white I can't help but think they will be too prominent and take all of the attention away from the rest of the bike. Bead blasting (like I had done) really give a nice look with the rough cast aluminum.

For the front fender have you considered a shorty LTD style chrome fender for the front to maintain the classic lines of the marque? I understand you are aiming for a streetfighter look and the fender you have on the bike is nice for a modern sport bike, but seems like an afterthought on an old Z1/Kz style. There must be someone on kzr that has put an old LTD front fender on a modern sport bike front end. Maybe they can post a pic of this mod to see what it looks like.

As far as the rear fender, leave it off as it would look a little out of place covering the big meaty back tire. Sometimes less is more when it comes to balance.

You've got yourself a nice, classic K bike there. Keep up the good work and keep us posted on your decision and progress. We also can appreciate big-block '70 Chevelles around here. Put up a pic so we can drool:)

The swingarm is gonna be powdercoated black to match the frame and the engine is going to be black as well. i am gonna leave the rear fender off for sure. gotta make a bracket and tuck the factory light up into the tail as much as possible. Im not really a fan of the original chrome fenders on streetfighters. If this was a cherry bone stock bike then heck yeah. I want people to be like "wtf is that!?" I figured i would go with white rims so that they do standout and it kinda matches the white pinstripes. I originally thought of black rims but they dont pop and everybody and there brother have black rims.

Nice Chevelle Reifer.

Man...with those kinda dyno numbers I'd put a stock looking hood on that thing and go hunting for victims. Good luck on keeping the 10 bolt together with that kind of stump-pulling torque, but those tires will probably break loose before anything grenades in the ass end. Myself, I'd blow it up on the first day as I have no self-control when it comes to mega power.

I'm quite partial to the 1970 Chevelle as my first ride was a black '70 Chevelle SS when I was 18 years old and stupid. The 396/350 hp was pooched so I stuffed an L36 427/390 horse plant under the factory cowl induction hood. Had a Turbo 400 with a high stall (woulda preferred the M21 or 22) and a 12 bolt in the back side with 3.73's. That old girl would sit there and fry the tires on a hot day with just a touch of the brake and full right leg extension on the loud pedal. Blew it apart racing another Chevelle when I learned that big-blocks don't like life past their redline.

Oh...it is better to have loved and lost....
