:woohoo: Had to toss it up there to see how it looked. The rear brake torque arm,all 3 calipers, and maybe the center stand will be this color. Now I'm kind of waiting for the weather to warm a bit so I can paint up the frame and motor. Plenty of other stuff to do in the meantime. To be continued......

Figured I'd keep a running total of costs on this project.
So far-
$200.00-purchase price of bike
21.83-supplies(paint,paper,a fresh tub-o-mothers)
$221.83-as of 2-28-07

My two cents worth of advice- keep the centerstand black. That's not something that should be highlighted.
Keep the progress pics coming!

I wouldn't post the cost of repairs here. Might make others cry. :S :pinch:
Nice pictures. Thanks for sharing.

 I'm not cheap-I'm thrifty:woohoo: But nothing will be spared on the safety side. all new cables, and the brakes will A-1,the fork seals will be replaced,etc..., before it hits the road. Thrifty, but not stupid!
Actually,I'm kind of curious as what the total will be,and figured this would be an easy way to keep track.
These will be out of pocket costs also-I got a cb 350 for nothing, and figured I'd use the E-bay profits towards this one. The sales will be subtracted from the running total. We'll see how much "folding green" it takes.

Finally got a chance to get a little done this weekend. Got the stator, and ignition covers cleaned up,and painted...
Needs little touching up-but not bad.

Cleaned up and polished a couple of parts. Came out pretty good, but that caliper bracket was a pretty rough casting-did the best I could with it. Looks better in person then in the pic....

Got the clutch cover also, but not entirely happy with the results. Looks way better out in the sun,but I think I'll go back to about 800 grit and start over. But I'm sick of sanding, and it can wait a couple of days!
Oh,yeah-still at $221.83 invested.
