Just a quickie.

I'm trying to follow the design of the Ventura Rack System. Essentially I'll make 3 more pieces to slip into the L brackets which can be mounted permanently on the bike (with bolts - no welding).

1 would be a tall, full size backpack style rack; the second a lower one for a small day bag - lunch box size, and a 3rd would just be a bar that goes from one to the other to finish it off - a grab handle of sorts.

Check this out for the system I'm trying to emulate.

This does not replace a back rest - it's good enough for a bag of clothes, not loved ones. That comes later.

Final piece before I can epoxy/glass everything!

I made a form which I'll glass up, then shape for the front flyscreen.

it's about a foot wide, so it should give me plenty of protection!

damn hell yeah...

It's too cold here to have things cure on their own - and I don't want my home smelling like epoxy.. So I've converted my old PoS BBQ into a nice oven for my new fiberglass pieces to cure! It's 'powered' by a 100W work light. It's *my* version of a man's Easy Bake Oven :)

Thanks guys :)

I'll have some more pics in the next few weeks..just waiting for the weather to get nicer before I complete my fiberglass projects.

Gonna be painting up the tank over the next week or two I think. Not sure of the design yet.
