picked up used off ebay.
i was thinking that if i line up tdc remove and replace i should be good right?
as my bike had electronic ignition already i don't need the dyna 4000 blue box am i right?

I cant answer that 1. not my area. but i think the Dyna2000 computer module would be the only reason for a change. It gives u dif advance maps, and a rev limiter.
U already had pointless electronic signal, so there may be no gain there.
all u may gain is new parts over old.
as for the billet center, did your bike have a mechanical advance before or electronic? if u had a mechanical, u cannot use this billet part without the brain to tell the pickups to advance .

not knowing for sure but I'd would have to say i have a mechanical advance i replaced it 2 yrs ago as the old one had rusted up and was seized up and little arms on the back wouldn't move.

so i need a brain thing? ok ill look on ebay lol.

are u sure the parts u have are for a Dyna 4000,and not a 2000? they look like my 2000. U may want to check and see if they are interchangable??

from what i read the blue advance is for the 4000
the black is for the 2000

Yes you are likely correct. i just dug mine out to check. mine is black. and the plate with the pick ups is blue.
are the plates the same?

well they arrived today.

pickups have only 9921 on the back.
the rotor says DBTR-2P.

dyna 4000 is on its way probably get here next week.



and rear brake rotor arrived yesterday.
roll on the weekend.

That will give you rock solid ignition system.

Also:
