I'm a new rider and a new KZ owner, just purchased today an '82 Spectre, will get it delivered tomorrow and get my license in about 3 weeks. I'm really looking forward to learning from everyone here about this cool bike.

I don't know about the spectre but enjoy riding it, and welcome to the mad house... lol. Let me be the first to say, we need pictures.

Welcome Scott. I just bought a 82 1100 spectre myself last Monday and will have it towed home this weekend. You will find lots of good folks here.

Thanks guys. Lots of Texans here, I moved from Clyde to Colorado about 5 years ago, sure miss it. My college roommate (TAMU) married a girl from Smithville.

Wish I could! It's just a 750 btw, I really miss going to the Chicken, Freebirds, Wings N More and all the other fine places there in Aggieland. I spent many a night (at least the ones I can remember) on the back porch of the Chicken with other guitar pickers and a few pitchers.

Yeah, I predated you in Aggieland but I spent an enormous amount of time in the Chicken, Duddley's, and Chicken Oil Co.:)

Thanks Robjb84! Not too bad for $1000. I think I'm gonna love it. Now it's time to accessorize....
