Hello from Scotland

Hi , as a new member to this forum as with any other forum I would like to say Hello to all on here.

I have owned my z900 ( not Kz as it’s know as but essentially the same bike albeit a UK model) from 19 years old back in 79.

Having ridden it back in those days as my only mode of transport it soon clocked up the miles and since then over the years has been modified in many different ways .

I am now giving it yet another full restoration, engine has been overhauled  new clutch plates , full wiring harness, bores inspected, valves removed cleaned and lapped in and compression good ( 150 cold , but need to double check once running and warm to be correct) and a whole load of other parts.

I was seeking to better understand carburettors and came across this forum , I have picked up a great amount of information and felt it more appropriate to join the forum and contribute as well as benefit from the knowledge pool.

Hope to speak to some of you going forward in my quest for carbs knowledge.

Thanks for allowing me to be part of this forum .

Nice bike!  Welcome to The aZylum.

Looks like the airbox is still in place, yet a single shock swingarm.  A few pics, please, on how that was accomplished?

VERY well done Mally!! Keen eye Jim! Missed the absence of rear shocks in photos. But YES to answer Jim's question, where's the shock? Looks like air cleaner and battery box are still intact! Info please, unless it's proprietary, hehe.
