New guy, odd application was created by MJinCO
I'm new here and I have a really different application by your normal standard.  In fact I basically flunked motorcycle school years  ago.  However, I have a Ocelot MkIII race car that dates back to 1971 and it has a 1982 KZ1000J2 motor in it and I never been dealing with bike motors and this one needs serious help at the moment.will have some really odd questions.  I'll try to post a picture or two when I figure out how.

Very cool!  What's the top speed on that bad boy?  Does it go fast enough to take advantage of the aero downforce wings?

Bought it last December.  Haven't had it out yet.  Completely rebuilt the suspension, rod ends are regarded as wearing items all 28 of them.  New brake MC's and lines, rebuilt calipers and coil over shocks.  I sort of educated guessed as to what to set the suspension to for camber, toe in etc.  This older suspension design has pretty bad bump steer by today's standards. Getting ready to take it out I check the spark plugs and #4 was just wet with no fire.  First replace coils with A1 2.4 ohm ones for better spark.  Checked compression and 123 about 120, #4 60 With oil 120 went to 150 and #4 to 120. So probably bad rings.  Checked valve clearances and 2 exhaust at about .05mm cold which is probably too tight as they should be at the top of the scale.  The 234 exhaust cam lobes have a yellow tint so got pretty hot.  Where can I get shims for the shim on top of bucket so I can loosen up the exhaust valves to .15mm.

You may be able to reduce the "bump steer" by playing with the position of the steering rack (higher or lower) if you can get it so the track rods are "flat" at the mid-point of the suspension travel the effect will be reduced as the change in length through the "arc" will be minimised

I wanted to buy a D Sport Racer about 40 years ago. Regret not pulling the trigger on it
Would have used it as a club racer here in Michigan at Waterford Hills .
Like a  large go kart   . I was going to turbo it as a club racer it would be  wicked.
