New here but i've owned and loved kz's for the past 20 years. I've had my green 76 900 for almost 20 years. I sold it twice but luckily was able to purchase it back both times, there wont be a 3rd time. Hope to gain some more knowledge so i joined. Thanks for havin' me.

Welcome to KZr Dave! Love the root beer candy brown color on the other bike. Still looks to be a 76 but painted like a 74, right? The Kerker looks like an original and not a new version. Both nice bikes.

Thanks. Yea i recently purchased the brown bike and it is a 76 painted like a 74. Future plans are to repaint it back to original.

Dave, if that root beer candy is really as good as it looks in the picture, I would not repaint it. Better to purchase a whole new (used) body set that is structurally sound but needs painting. Just repaint that to original. I bet even with the cost of purchasing another set and cost of painting it, you will still make money from selling your current set. That paint looks beautiful. And I seen reconditioned sets in that color going for about $1500.00. So all depends how good a shape yours set is. Just a suggestion. You may even be able to find an original set of tins with original paint that its in decent shape.

I'm not repainting the current bodywork, the paint is real nice, especially in the sun. I already have a xtra kz tank, that came with the bike when i purchased it. 1 made in Japan side cover and my brother gave me a tail fin. I need one more side cover.
