What's up everyone I'm mike, I don't have a kz yet but really wanting one. Just found a 77 kz1000 for 500 needs some work but not to worried as I'll be tear in it apart to bob it out just wanted to know if there's anythings I should be looking for or what not when buying one? title is very important in some states more than others, although you will be taking it apart and going through it a little history helps if the owner knows any mods already done nothing like buying a bunch of parts off ebay or from z1E only to find the forks are from a dirt bike and the calipers are from a hover round and it has 1942 jaguar carburetors.

I bought a 82 GPZ that was only a 82 neck the rest was 83 completely different bike. My advice is cover the basics "how long its sat whats been done to it when was it licensed last" alot of frankin Z's out there even though your gonna bob it it helps to have a list of what othe mfgrs parts have been added converted etc..

good luck on your purchase snap a few close ups of the carbs the bike itself we there are some really slick guys on here who can look at a carb and tell you what you have and if something is not right with it.

but for 500 (what I paid for mine) you cant go too wrong and welcome

ide hate to see it chopped too but to each his own. I see the s2000 in ur sig with "race car" next to it. Lets see a list of mods. I prefer my cars with about 4 more cylinders but have had and enjoyed both. Atleast its rwd . My old neighbor had a k20 powered ek hatch that was a real sleeper.

And that's about it, made 211whp this summer, I'm shotting for over 230 next year on e85 and a full standalone fully gutted from behind the seats back including soft top frame n all, should drop 150lbs or so and put in a hard dog 4 point in it, and maybe put it on spray for the 1/4 n hit 12s lol

very nice. I bought a dsm to save on gas cause my daily driver is an 86 monte carlo ss. It was very boring, and now its pretty much gutted including rear interior, trunk floor replaced with sheetmetal, no heater core, power steerring, a/c, cruise, etc. Running on full standalone, e85, 1200cc injectors, 52 trim turbo, and forged internals. Never seen a dyno yet but im hoping for high 300's out of it. Good luck on the s2000, those k20's are a hell of a motor.

Yeah dsms aren't my fav lol seen em brake too much, and the s2k has the f20c no k series, makes more power stock for stock as well but K's r badass too
