My first kwak...
15 May 2006 19:43
How'do all,
Ive finally bought that zed i always promised myself, Kz 650 [c1 or c2, i think] an import from across the pond and im restoring her to some form of glory [i hope].
Ive joined your forum to help with my restoration primarily, but I've always been a zed fan so im in the right place...
Ive had various bikes, my favorite's so far being an "XJ 750 Secca" and a "GS 550 custom" both of which got my special touch...[the GS is my profile pic], but this is my first Kawasaki and only my second attempt at restoring to original so I've no doubt ill be asking a few questions.
Well, later's peeps,
Mick.

Ive taken these pics of my KZ at the stage she's at now...
A few alterations are in the process already, Ive raised the tail by about 3-4 inches and the seat is going to be my own creation.
She sports a micron 4-1, enduro bars and a lovely colour, a one off colour by a lad learning to spray professionally Gold metal flake, overlaid with the red and candy... she's absolutely gorgeous in the sunlight...
I do need some parts already though, foot rests, points cover and so on... minor stuff really.

Looking great. You can find almost everything you need on eBay. I've never liked the front fenders either, that was one of my first changes. I like the KZ 900 / KZ 1000 fenders. you have to slot the holes a little but I think they look way better.
