30 years to get back home...

Hey thanks!

We worked on her till bout 2 this afternoon. Had some front break issues to sort out. New cable, fluid etc. Changed oil & filter of course and cleaned up a lot of ragged wiring. New turn signals. Replace the ugly square and dark rear break light. (maybe was off an old Ninja or something.) and got her to a good baseline for riding.

Now new parts on order. This won't be a frame off build or anything but it will be a cottoning story. Should i start a thread in "Builds"? Or is that space more of a bro section. Just point my where to post my story and i'm there.

BTW i put 75 miles on her this evening. Probably be grinning in my sleep!

P21 - Did you like the video or was that all you got out of it?

I try to be a studied rider and that was a rare occurrence for me. I left the shot in the video couse we're all human and make mistakes. So i hope that was not the only impression you took away from the entire production.

You can say that again!!! Just this afternoon I was on a spirited ride on 157 between Venus and Mansfield and went a little too wide on a left curve. Ended up in the muddy grass with a 6 to 10 ft ditch about 10 ft away. Managed to hold on and got it back under control. Scrared the crap out of me. Stay safe.

My brother lives in Grandbarry. So i still get down that way at lease once a year.

Didn't think the vegetation in the video looked like it belonged around north TX.
When you get down this way, pm me and we can get together for a ride down through some of the Hill Country.

Count me in if someone is organizing a Hill Country ride. I grew up in Kerrville, and I can't get enough of the central Texas riding. We should organize a KZR contingency at the Three Sisters.

BTW that scooter video was cool, those things look like a hoot.

That sounds great. So much to read here i haven't made it to the "rides" section yet.

My friend Vince ((the other guy in the video) is looking for his classic right now. Once he gets his up we are hoping to do the "Tail of the Dragon", and Mt, Nebo this year. I think a Texas run sounds good too.
