just a couple of quick updates:

1) tried boiling the carb bowl, then left it in berryman's dip for 3 days, still no joy. haven't tried vanish yet, but ended up picking up a set of carbs for 22.50 shipped on ebay. will use the original carbs for any salvageable donor parts.

2) ran a new wire to the coils and rr, popped in new plugs, filed and adjusted the points, sprayed some starter fluid in the 3 intakes that have working spark plug caps. started on the first kick.

hopefully the carbs will be here in a week or so, then i can start on rewiring the bike and building the exhaust.
