Hey CT, beautiful bike! My bike's the same year and paint scheme too. How many miles are we talkin' here? Mine just turned 22 thousand. Good to see another unmolested survivor hanging around. Tom

Thanks so much for the warm welcome, and nice compliments on my bike. It's pretty cool to see so many people that still love these old bikes. A little history on the bike. I rode it for about five years then parked it covered up in my mothers garage, it had 12k on the clock at that time. Well it sat there for 18 years as I was starting a family, house and kids, ya know the routine. Never ment to do it but out of sight out of mind I guess.
Fast forward to about seven years ago. I went and picked her up and brought her home. Spent over a year in my spare time replacing everything that time had destroyed, after that long anything that was made of rubber was toast so I replaced anything that wasnt still good. Replaced the chain and sprockets, rebuilt the carbs, brake calipers and masters. New fork seals tires and battery and lots of stuff I cant even think of right now. At that time I switched it over to a dyna s and dyna coils, besides that it's all stock. Lots of cleaning and polishing and she was back on the road.
When I bought the bike it was ebony, I had a real hard time choosing between that and the glazer green. A friend gave me A green NOS tank about 15 years ago that he had boxed up for years. It was a dealer take off, has a teeny tiny ding on top. He used to work at a dealership and was able to bring stuff home sometimes. I got the used side covers one at a time on E-bay. Then a few years ago a NOS tail came up on E-bay, the girl had her green party dress.
She has had the green body work on since then, but I still have the other set boxed up if I want to change it's there.
Right now she has 14.9k on the clock, so I don't drive it very often. I would like to pick up another bike for a daily driver, that way I wouldn't feel bad about putting to many miles on this one.
Thanks again for the kind words
