ha alright guys, i will keep the politics to myself for awhile, is there a possibility for a political section? where people who are educated and like to discuss such topics can do so with out being harassed by less educated and worried individuals?

thank you all for the warm welcoming! hopefully i will find some z1 body parts in the next few weeks, i already located a tank for dirt cheap and just need side covers and tail for now. plan on keeping the mags for awhile unless i decide to try to make it original and sell it for profit and another larger kz.

Thanks, Jon

A political section... haha that's rich. I can see we're really gonna like you Jon... Do you have a brother named Dan?

Oh and welcome to the site, nice bike, please post more pics, blah and so forth.

PS
Best not to piss off your mods. I realize you can't swing a dead cat without hitting one around here, but Stein appoints them for a reason. The No Politics rule has been around as long as the site has. Respect the mods and other members and you'll get respect in return.

Yeah... it was a close call.... :woohoo:

Being a former Mod I can tell you that the answer is an unequivocal, "No!" If you're looking for that sort of outlet there are plenty of forums on the Web to sate your desire. If you must have a political discussion forum with a bit of bikes thrown in, there are plenty of hosting providers that will be happy to let you install PHPBB, Joomla, or some other forum package and let you run with it, for a nominal fee, of course.

Respect this site and it will respect you.

Welcome kid :)

The last photo in your initial post tells me all I need to know ;) The bike looks like a good base for a restoration.

What got you intereseted in these old KZs?

First off, welcome to the forum. Can't wait to see what you do to your bike. I have a 76 and an 80, but I really like the 74's and 75's a lot. Going to have to get me on of those.

I have to say, even though I'm a conservative, I'm glad that we don't have a lot of political talk here. I love fights, boxing and MMA. I go to another forum to get information about those things. That forum has a politics/religion section. Wish I had never seen it, you would think that everyone under 30 in the US has decided socialism or anarchy is the way to go. (I'm 39, which is "old" for that site)

As it stands here right now, if I have a problem, then I ask a question. Usually get several answers. I'm sure those answers come from people with different political/religious views but it doesn't matter because we share a common interest. I have been on a few forums but have never seen people get their questions answered or help with ideas as quickly as this one. Kind of restores your faith in humanity a little.
