...and the trick to reining in expenses on your addiction, is to start buying tools and doing your own wrenching...eventually it does become less expensive to maintain these bikes...but the price is high...you become even more addicted.

Hello, my name is Yukabodos and I have a problem. I am addicted to KZ's. HAHAHA
Man I feel your pain.
I am 30 and I am in early mid life crisis. If I could only be 26 again. $ and women like crazy. Oh well the KZ fills that void a little more now.
That bike is stunning. Who knew that brown could look so awesome.
You have a piece of art in that bike.
Yukabodos Buddy!!!

Beautiful beautiful bike! Hope you can get it running the way you like. I'm going to be taking down my 900 engine this winter due to low compression on 2, 3 &4 so we can share the pain together! BTW - where did you get your halogen headlight?

i just tore mine down this weekend i found a couple of bad pistons but thankfully no cylinder damage so a couple of new pistons anew set of rings and 4 oversized intake valves and i'm on the way again small price to pay for the fun this bike has given me over the last 12 years it's also time to redo the valve job and maybe do a bit more port work and throw in a bit bigger set of cam's. that will take care of engine no'1. so if anybody has a set of .410 lift cams for sale feel free to get in touch. and also a couple of 72mm wiseco pistons let me know. by the way i'm 45 and i haven't grown up yet so i'm expecting my midlife crisis around 70 or 80 sounds good to me.

Thanks for all the encouragement. I agree the stock KZs are a work of art. I am an old school guy, and love to see things as the original designers and builders had intended. I can appreciate and admire upgrades and modifications, but for me, stock is where it's at. I actually had my wife's approval to buy it. At least she didn't say No. She was with me when I went to look at it. It really was a mess, and I'm sure she thought I was crazy. I'm also sure she couldn't see the diamond in the rough. Every where I go with the KZ I get compliments. And that is very gratifying. It's too bad the replica 4 into 4 pipes are so expensive. Oh well, the MACs look great.
Link 14, I got the halogen headlamp thru my local dealer. It's quite a nice light. Supposedly the bulb has a tougher element to withstand vibration.
