Well, somebody has to live here. On the upside, I just acquired this 1981 KZ440B as a Winter project. It's in decent shape, and should be "relatively easy" to make roadworthy. I've had a bunch of bikes, and done one restoration: 1976 RD350 (cafe conversion actually). I even owned a KZ440LTD back in the 80's, so kind of know the engine.
1980 Kawasaki KZ440B (brand new eBaby)
1998 Ducati 900S (gone)
1978 BMW R100S (gone, damn it)
1975 Yamaha RD350 cafe (gone)
1986 Yamaha XJ650 Seca (gone)
1981 Kawasaki KZ440LTD (gone)
1969 HD Sportster (gone :)
1966 Honda CB160 (gone, damn it)
1965 Suzuki 80

Welcome from just down US 77 on the Kansas side. That's a nice looker. The 440B models seem to be rather scarce as the Ltd models are much more common.

i just got home from down by pickrel(spell check! :laugh: )ne ,south of lincoln on hwy 77.bought a pretty complete 75z1 and got a basket case z1 with 2/73 build date without a title for a parts bike,i had a very hard time keeping a straight face while loading stuff in back of my friends truck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo:

Yep. She was assembled in Japan. I suppose "Made in Japan" should have been a clue.

it was after 9pm! :laugh: the guy told me theres a lot more bikes sitting out there in barns in that area.the bodywork on the 73 is painted greenish/gold metalflake,looks like something straight out of a 70s porn movie! :unsure: :ohmy: :huh: :dry: :blink: :blush: :S :laugh: im going back early this week to maybe get that basketcase z1r in omaha solomrus passed on,then im done buying stuff no room left in barn!!!!!!!!!!!!! i need kaw addiction counseling :laugh:
