That's cool Dave, were there very many colors of the 83' & 84" or was there just a one color per year thing?

I'm looking to redo (or freshen up) the paint job on mine because the clearcoat is deteriorating and starting to flake off. Is there somewhere to get the stripes? I haven't checked with Kawasaki yet (concerned with the price there). I have found decals for the side covers, but not the main ones.

You know, I bought mine partly because of an obsession that I had, when I saw the 900Z1 come out and had wanted one for some time (there was ALWAYS something that kept me from having one, mostly money) and, when I saw that one on ebay (it was only 2hrs away and had a reasonable Buy It Now price), I just HAD to have it. I never even thought about the handlebars on those (I had tried "Clip-ons" back in the 60's and didn't like the way they felt and took them back off). But, I sat on it and was surprised that they weren't as low as I thought they would be. And then I took it for a spin, thinking that THIS was going to take some getting used to. After I got it home, I spent several days just kinda toolin' through our neighborhood (where I live, there are NO through streets and there is a bout a 4 "city block" area to ride in without ANY traffic of ANY kind, at ANY time) and it wasn't long at all before I started feeling really comfortable. Now, I'm at the point that, MY GPZ won't be going anywhere without ME on it! So, I Knw exactly what you mean about the feeling "before" and "after". Great Lil' (Not really LITTLE though) Machine!

I'm not sure what all color combinations were offered. The only ones I've seen in person are red and silver ones. But I havent seen another Gpz around by me in a long time.

I've got the only one I know of in my area as well. I've seen a 550, but it's been quite a while back though.
