Very nice scoot. What future plans do you have for it or are you happy with it now? I put a sportster peanut tank and really changed the look of mine.

In the short term, I plan on powder coating the wheels black and doing something with the exhaust. Dont want it super loud, but it does need to be a bit louder. (any opinions?)
Do you know where to find a cheap peanut tank? Maybe even one that is already flat black or at least primed?

I scored a brand new peanut tank on ebay for $99 shipped.
I ground down the frame nubs that hold the stock tank and welded the mounts in place.
As far as your pipes go you can clamp on a 2.5" resonator pipe a little ways from the collector. It's short, sweet, and loud.

Went to a local sheet metal fabricator and had them cut out diamond plates to replace the plastic fairings. Also had them custom make knobs to weld on so that I could still utilize the existing rubber housing to pull them on and off.

Nice man. I have the same basic project going. 1981 KZ750 Bob. I like how you did the rear fender. I see the Texas Tech flag in the background. Whereabouts in Texas are you? I am in Ft. Worth.
