Been out of riding for a few years while raising children. Just bought an Old Kawasaki out of a shed that had not started in a few years. 14 year old son and I are restoring it over the winter. Owned many bikes of all types in my younger years and these were always my favorites. This is how I bought it in December:
This is where its at today:
Still have a way to go to get it where we want it.
Thanks to the great people at Z1 Enterprise and Ebay it runs great. Some warm weather would be nice....Russ

It came with two tanks so I am painting one stock the other I havent decided yet. Going to keep it as stock as possible. Those are Lesters and they are missing almost no paint. I was going to media blast them but I think it would be a crime seeing as they are in such good shape. It came with smoothbores which I broke down and cleaned out. I like the old spoke rims myself so I might pick up a set of them. Its going to be a rider so I will get it clean and looking good...Russ

Russ, Welcome. Enjoy, hope we can help... If I may, If you decide to go back to spokes,(Mags were the rage, cleaner tho heavy, at least were true)consider lacing 17" hoops. the strides taken in tire tech, are the greatest overall in M/C technology. tho sadly remiss in the 18-19" sizes of the day. Ride well, smile a lot, It reflects well on the rest of us.G

I got my seat back Friday. Weather was in the upper 40s so I drove it for the first time for any ammount of distance. About 10 miles. I forgot how much I enjoyed riding these bikes...Russ
