engine ID

hello everyone, Awesome sight.
I was wondering if someone can help me identify my engine year. It is a 78 1000 frame with a 900 motor.The engine numbers are Z1E 070544. The frame # on the fork is KZT00B-509168.Would the engine be a 76? any help would be greatly appreciated.
78 kz 1000
wiesco 1015
29mm smoothbores
gs1100 swingarm
gsxr rear
