Glad to see theres a spot on the net dedicated to these great bikes! Im a former vespa/lambretta guy that wanted to move into something more long distance. I love the new bike!

Welcome to the forum. That certainly is a nice looking bone stock example you have there. Looks to be low mileage and very well cared for. The 750 LTD is a really nice bike you'll enjoy it.

Congradulations !
I live in Chicago to on the far south east side. I had an 82 750 3 years ago and sold it so I could get a new big street cruiser. I bought an 82 KZ1000 last year instead. Much more fun and you would be surprised the looks the KZ's get around the city. Never had any breakdowns or major problems with either bike. I know what you mean about the crappy weather we been having. These bikes are pretty bullet proof. I would just make sure your battery is strong and fairly new. When I got my 1000 it was in great shape but the new battery was trash because the previous owner never filled it the right way. It gave me tons of problems starting when cold over the winter. I replaced the battery and the bike runs great and starts right up.

Great looking LTD you have there !!! I pretty much love mine. Welcome to the forum !!!

As for the backrest ... well Ebay is the first place to look.

I got tired of looking so I just fabricated my own sissy bar and side plates.

I concur!

Of all the Japanese UJMs of the late '70s/early '80s, none catch my eye more than a Kawasaki KZ. To me they are just "right" and are the best looking bikes this side of a Triumph or Norton of the '60s and early '70s.

It's interesting the way a motorcycle can grab your attention, kind of like a fine woman. ;)

Hey Chicago kzriders! Let's get together and ride as soon as this muck passes by. I have a jonz for the ride. I have only been able to put a few hundred miles on mine so far. Not too bad but a bit cold at times to be riding.
