Wow, so now I know what my 650 USED to look like when it was new! :woohoo:

Welcome to KZr Pat. Sweet looking bike you have there, and from the pic looks to be 100% - except for the Accel(?) coils of course - stock. B)

So, what's the skinny on it's history, what you paid for it, and what other bikes you've owned? :)

Thanks a lot guys. I got the bike for 1500, i thought it was a little hight but if you could see the condition of the bike it is in almost showroom condition. The bike is all stock other than the coils. It has 25,000 on it and the last owner said the oil was changed every 1000 miles. He was the original owner and it still has the title from 1978 and the dealer key chain ring on it. The paint is in great shape other than a small amount of the pinstripe is coming off on the tank. The only things it needs done are the valve clearances(doing this now). I cleaned the carbs and im goin to replace the plugs and change the oil. Im also goin to do the WG coil mod on it. I will eventually replace the exhaust because it has a small leake on the left pipe and the right looks to have been repaired already. Is should be good to go as soon as I get the shims in from Z1.

Other than this bike i have a 2006 Buell Lightning XB9SX

Welcome to the club!
Don't fret about the price you paid, once I bought mine and put all the repairs into her I had $1500 into it. Mine does not look as nice as yours either. I think the 650's are the best kept secret in the middleweight area, a lot of them are coming out of the woodwork lately.

You also have the good fortune to buy from the original owner and it shows he loved that bike and took care of it. In my book that in itself is peace of mind. Keep it clean, maintained, and try to keep it original. The only bad thing about your bike is it isn't RED!!

Thats true i wish it was. If the money permits it will be red but not for now. I plan to keep it stock but i want to put the brakes and wheels of a custom on it so I can get the rear disc and dual front discs. Other than the wheels and exhaust it will be kept stock.
