I've been wading through all the information here for the past several weeks and now that I feel like I'm at least somewhat close to being up to speed, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself!
My story begins many years ago on a Yamaha XS650 twin. (honestly, it begins much earlier and involves Catholic school, troubled youth, imaginary spiders and mechanical pencils but the motorcycle story is a much less disturbing one to relate)
To make a long story short, after nearly 50K miles over a period of a couple of years (bringing it to around 50,400 total), my beautiful partner was crushed in a parking lot by an H2. I kid you not, it was a horrible end and to have her die in a parking lot of all places in stead of the open roads that she loved so dearly was heartbreaking (cut to the image of me on the ground with oil/blood all over my hands, cradling the remains of my carbs sobbing and screaming at the heavens "WHYYYYYY!")
I had some other relationships after that. An old CB750-Four, a Piaggio Ciao (it was a dark period, don't hold it against me). Until recently, none had been able to help mend the whole in my heart. A year ago, I fell in love...She was beautiful. A 77 KZ650C, young at heart and a little troubled, just like me. And she had dirty things on her mind, I could tell, but she needed someone to help unleash them.
Like the women who so long ago told me that wearing all black had to stop, I was quick to admit to her that her awful orange pin stripes had to go. Oh, let me tell you, seeing her all dolled up in a cobalt metal flake blue with a couple nice layers of wax makes my heart race. It makes me want to climb on her and take her for a hard, long ride. I'm sure you know the feeling.
Get your mind out of the gutter, you know what I'm talking about! That freeway that turns into the twisty tree shaded back road. The one that makes you really feel like you're both one with each other, listening to each others needs and desires and playing with them.
Oh...I how I've fallen for her.
(and no, this isn't me, nor her but rather my son and his 750-Four...although I often feel that old...yeah, both)

Another 1977 KZ650... outstanding! Welcome to the site. Did anyone mention that it is considered an infraction, or maybe just a shame, here to post without your year, model and location in your signature? Just kidding... welcome an lets see some pictures.
