new guy from cali

hi all
new to site but not kz's
although been 8-10 years since my last.
found your site a couple weeks ago digging around for info.
awsome site.

just went and bought a 2nd owner 78 kz 1000 w/15k miles .
been sitting in a barn since 2000.
covered with a yard of dirt/dust..unloved and forgotten.
black with gold stripe
original paint ..but brake fluid oozed down the side of tank while sitting .

mac pipe,smooth bores,pods ,relocated shocks

now the fun begins
looking to do a updated/streetfighter with it
usd forks and wider swingarm
wider wheels /bigger brakes
but with old school look

i've searched some of the forumm and only have found a couple with these updates.
if any of you read this and have any input would love to hear from you...swingarms / forks selections!

I'm pretty sure that riding down to the Los Angeles are would be a really looooooooong trip for you to come down just for a breakfast meet-'n-greet, but you're more than welcome to join us if you want to.

Welcome to the site. There's a few guys building streetfighters here, I'm building a 650 fighter. I'm sure there's someone here to help you out. We require pix too.

thats all i've been doing in my spare time this week is scanning craigslist and ebay for donor front and rear ends :blink:

trying to make up my mind on whether to go mono or a zrx dual shock/swingarm rear.
and whose usd forks i'll use.
