Here it is guys, shot some pictures today. As promised in the "mod or stock" post. It's not done, but well on it's way. The goal was to build a stripped down, period cafe without getting into streetfighter-mods.

What it's got:
Fresh topend (73' head and cylinders)
Hooker header
reversed forks w/ fresh head bearings
forkbrace
stainless lines
drilled disk
small sealed battery
reg/rec combo
kickstart only (no starter
tach only
custom "seat"
reversed pegs
cut shift lever, GP shift

What's it's getting:
new coils and cables
rear shocks (konis or...)
possibly fiberglass seat

The wishlist:
progressive springs (front)
cafe tank
stainless spokes
aluminum rims
dresda swingarm
different tach

Coils, cables and shocks will happen shortly. Some sort of seat, cafe or flattrack style will be looked at as well. Right now it's just layered foam over a homemade aluminum base (the wife is short one yoga mat hehe). Not too comfortable, but not bad either.
It weighs less than my wifes kz650 and goes like stink.

Looking good. Spare yoga matt? That's hardcore. Maybe a GPx 600 tank? The 'round tube' frame models have a nice looking 'toaster' that should fit without too much rework.

I have a tank from a XS750 if you want. It has the recessed cafe style sides on it. I can take some measurements if you are interested. Tell you the truth, I think the tank on there now looks perfect and I wouldn't change it.
