Powders are amazing.... was created by twowheeledterror

That's a metallic powder called "Extreme Chrome".

It's kind of a smked chrome appearance.

I think that is the color for the frame, swingarm (was gonna polish it, but consistancy says to coat it if I do the frame), calipers, wheels, forks, etc.

Rearset adapters, brake lines, etc. will be red to match the leather seat with red stitching and red welting.

The tank will get painted, not powdered, pearcoat black metallic w/red metallic in it.

I wish I had my camera now. The tires and cams and stuf came for the bike. :(

That looks awesome! Where did you get it done? I've been thinking about getting my wheels chromed, but I'm sure powdercoating us MUCH cheaper.

Hey guys... I guess I should have been more specific. These aren't my covers. I just found the pic on the net searching for metallic powdercoats.

Yes, powdercoating is MUCH MUCH MUCH CHEAPER than chroming, and honestly, better in my opinion. Seems to hold up better I think.

Chrome is just a little too over the top bling bling for my taste if you are planning to do a lot of stuff in it. That's the reason I don't generally like fancy choppers, but I do like chopper rats.

This is kinda reflective and has visual properties between polished aluminum and chrome.

That stuff reminds me of the ceramic coating you see on exhaust systems. It's nice, but it doesn't match real chrome.

In my opinion, anyway, chrome should look like mercury, like quicksilver, like a mirror.

The extreme chrome is from Caswell... there is some good stuff out there, i use a lot of Caswells' stuff.

ceramic coating looks more like silver paint, or poorly polished aluminum, resists high heat(doesnt blue on headers) and is super expensive. For example, here it is 170 canadian for my header to get ceramic coated, but once it's done, its done.

the headers are ceramic coated, cured and polished. the product is from columbia coatings. the ceramic needs to be cured over 500deg.

Careful if you do the extreme chrome powder...I had my valve cover done and it looked awesome at first. After a few miles though it started to dull. I probably wouldn't do it again unless I knew of a clear coat option that would save it, and then we are talking more $$$ I'm sure.
