absolutely beat bike

I've had this for a while, won't bore you with details, bike has many issues; bent steering stop, broken rear shock stud,messed up wiring, wrong steering stem head and gauge pods, gutless kerker...It will be a driver (hopefully) not a restoration, but any input will be appreciated

Worse ones have been brought back to life. Ask any questions you have, there are some amazingly knowledgeable and talented folks around here.

It was a common mod back in the day and highly sought after nowadays.

And getting hard to find as well.

thanks for the interest! and as a matter of fact it is running and driving. I've been on 4 rides (all successful). First one my license plate fell off because I was so exited. second one went 32 miles solo, third was about 50 miles with my highest top speed ever (about 60, don't laugh). fourth ride was friday after work, about 50 miles , half on dirt road, bike died , thought it blew up, switched to reserve. finally started, made it home about 25 miles on reserve, hehe. My buddy asked if I had enough gas before we left, I said " I should be good"

Sorry, meant to post project updates too. Finally got the right stem and head set so I could install correct dash and idiot lights, new tires, mac baffle for my $100 beat e-bay kerker, which sounds amazing. Motor is a 78 kz1000 b2 and carbs which have the 3rd carb vacuum port which I plugged after the first ride. carbs only have pilot air screws on bottom back of the float bowls, looks like the idle air screws are blocked off. The bike runs well enough to drive,but pops once in a while, sounds a little off, btw haven't synced carbs but bought the vacuum gauges to do it. today i will fab a center stand stop so it doesn't hit my chain and work on a horn.

I thought my 305 blew up the first time I took it for a long ride - yeah, I ran out of gas. Cue the most nerve-wracking 11 mile ride to the nearest station. First trips make me nervous

Good to hear another one is back on the road.

You have fuel adjust pilot screws. They might still have plastic caps on them. Emissions standards made Kawasakis cap them to limit end user adjustment so the bike would pass test. They can be removed, every set I have the caps are removed so I really don’t know how to but assume grip them with a set of needle nose and pull straight down.

Popping is usually a symptom of air sneaking in, might need new carb holder boots.
