isnt it nice to see these old parts having all the years knocked off them and looking brand spanking new again. i would so love to have a zed in the workshop being brought forward with some personal touches just like this.

I'm in for finishing my ride and building my other ride with my own two hands!
I'm even considering learning how to paint too. Anybody here in Chicago who can helo out?
I have no skills in many areas but judging by how so called "professionals" build stuff I think I have a promising opportunity to do something on a grand scheme.

For you guys out there on a buget build or just wanting to wrench on the bike....you can do this stuff.

This is my first total build. I had no special tools when I started. No welder, bike jack or anyone to ask for advice.

I went out and put the pieces toghter finding a very experianced engine builder (John Pearson) 30 miles away, KZR FORUM that I leaned on very hard and one of the best early KZ platform drag racers who set dozens of national records running KZ's during the 70's, 80's and now is a busa drag racer.

Also, its no mistake the way my bike looks. I set out with a firm plan. I just spent 5 months on oil cooler.... thinking, planing, getting product knowledge and asking in several threads....questions before buying one part. Going slow with direction is my key to a great build.

I worked 280 overtime hours this winter to feed this monster of mine. Really dont have a life as Im at work....LOL

I really enjoy this bike. If I can help anyone or answer a question, please ask

Much better, those mre clutch covers are always some of the roughest castings I ever come across.
keep a good coat of wax on the aluminum to help protect it.
The first ones always the toughest, just keep practicing.
Always remember to get the parts nice and flat/straight before you start with the buffing stage because it will really show little dips/waves once you start polishing the parts otherwise B)
