The 1976 LTD has been sitting for the better part of the decade, but after a little carb cleaning she fired up. I threw a little rattle-can black on the previous owners rattle-can yellow just to ease the pain on my eyes while working on it, lol. I also made a tail light tuck mount bracket while I was tinkering. Here is just a little before and after of the beater bike.

The color and the bars made a world of difference. Probably not very comfortable with the bars that low though.

Yeah new bars are in order, those are just the stockers flipped for a "boy racer" look. I think removing the fenders and chain guard along with lowering it a bit helped the look. It was just a day spent tinkering without spending any cash.

After I got it running, the carbs suddenly became very hard to open and are closing very slowly so I have to pull them off and see what happened there.

Chances are,by flipping your bars over, you've binded up the throttle cables.

Nothin wrong with a "rattle can" paint job i have done more than a few of them......looks good though. Definatly a world of improvement from the yellow it was before. I would flip the handle bars around like sandy said, then it wont be hard to open and close the carbs.

I'll definitely double check the throttle cable, thanks for the suggestion.
