I see some differences after 2 weeks.
Replaced (or installed) handle bar, RH and LH switchblocks, mirrors, grips, throttle cables, rear shocks, grab rail, rectifier/regulator combination unit, plugs.
Removed fin grills and air shifter.
Waiting on baffle for pipe, turn signal parts, clutch cable.
Most of time used is for cleaning all around. Frame needs to be sandblasted and painted soon. I will ride some now and do it in a little while.
Rear brake gets stuck and won't return. I need to remove panel assy to see what's going on in there.
Runs pretty good from low rpm to high rpm now. I am not sure I will need to adjust it after baffle is in place as there is no baffle in now.
Tank, side covers and tail piece are Kawasaki part not after market. The original color is blue as I can see on back of tank. On tail piece, I can see shape of decal as 75 model. Frame number is Z1F086485. That is 76 A4. Body parts had been changed? Or there is any possibility for blue 76?

Thats a sharp looking bike. Do you intend to keep running the velocity stacks? They suck in the world and will wear the motor faster. The little bit of detail cleaning is paying off. Looks great.

My 76 '900 was also "LTD'd" - Seat and exhaust for sure along with a horrible custom paint job that I wish I still had pictures of (the red had faded to a pink-like color). I'd bet on the frame number as the most accurate. AFAIK there were only green and brown paint jobs for the '76 Kz900-A4.

Thank you plummen.

DoubleDub,
Looks like blue from 75 with decal mark under black paint. I guess they have been replaced.
