1980 Kawaski KZ1000 LTD

Hi all, I am new to the forum. I just picked my 1980 KZ1000 ltd up for $250 from a guy in my hometown. The bike looks cool the way it is but I am going to rebuild bits and pieces and throw on a new paint job. I have already got the bike to run with a fresh battery and fuel. Now I am tearing it down to clean the carbs and go through the brakes along with everything else that needs attention. I plan on this bike being done before mid summer so I have my work cut out for me. What do you think of it? I kinda like the paint job on it, but will probably throw a new one on just because it will be my own personal style.

Hello badrhino...nice score on the LTD...I would have jumped on that also. And you are correct, I kinda like the paint also...if it is a quality paint job, maybe you should think about archiving it and buying another set of bodywork to paint?
