How did you mount the gauge? I am tryng to do that on mine since I took the cluster off but still want the speedo.

I had a mount that was broken, so I cut it in half, sanded the edges smooth and mounted it under the tripple tree. I used the hole in the mount that was where the turn sig. light was. Just got a longer bolt and re-used the rubber dampers from the orig.

Still a work in progress. Made my own ducktail out of alum. sheet metal. A little rough for now, but I plan a complete tear down this winter to do all the finishing touches.

where did you get the chrome upper triple tree from. nice looking bike also

Thanks guys,I used paint stipper on the top tripple tree and then polished it at work, we have a tumbler.It has a steel media in a large drum that rotates and as the part tumbles around it gets polished.
