My 750 twin Cafe was created by tobiism
Well, its been a while since my last update. I ditched my GS1100 swingarm because I just didn't dig the extra 2 inches in the rear. It threw the whole look off. Since then I've made my 2 into 1 carb adapter, mounted my CV40 Keihin carb, made my 2 into 1 high pipe and put new Bridgestone BT45 tires on. I just need to finish up my shifter linkage and finish my R-6 rear brake conversion and she'll be all set.
I removed the starter and have made her kick only using the smallest battery I could find. All of the wiring is directly under the seat hump and she usually starts on the first kick. Don't mind the seat unit, I forgot to push it down all the way in the front for the pics...

That is what I have been wanting to do for an exhaust and I was wondering what it would look. I really like the wrap and where the pipes run. Good job, can't wait til the finished product.

I forgot to ask... Are those the stock forks? What kind of dust covers are those? I see you dropped the forks in the trees but why do you need to put wood under the kick stand? Dropping the forks should've lowered it yes?

Biquetoast, hell yeah my leg gets hot, but I just made a nice heat guard last night that covers that portion. I would NEVER consider making exhausts for sale. Holy crap thats a pain in the butt! I do like this one though.

shoe- Thanks!

cnyl- yup, stock forks with 15W fork oil shimmed 1" on the top with Forkskins fork boots. They're made out of neoprene and slide right down the forks and cover the slider opening and seal. I've got the wood under the kickstand to keep it level while I'm working on it.

No - I meant the carb manifold... I have a feeling the one-into-two thing is going to become more and more popular... it already is, kinda...

Hmmm, If I did I'd have to change the design. Mine as is requires welding to hold the carb solid to the engine and frame so a nice size backfire won't blow the carb and manifold off of the cylinder head(ask me how I know that).
So I'd probably ditch the carb rubbers and weld flanges onto my manifold and just bolt the whole thing to the head. I was just lazy with this one and didn't want to cut out the flanges.
So far, I think its a pretty sweet deal. It seems to run pretty well, although I haven't been able to get on the highway yet(no rear brakes) to really feel it out. I have some minor jetting adjustments to make, but so far so good.

Alright, I have to start off by first saying that I really, really like how your project is coming along. But, I have held out as long as I can and must hear the story behind firing your carb off of the cylinder head if you please?
