Wondering if anyone knows if these are interchangeable as far as width goes? I've got some KZ650 forks, but I don't have the front wheel. Any chance anyone knows?

I beleive they are different. I tried to put the tripple tree on my 650 but the 550 was too narrow. So I'm thinking the 400 is different too.

You want a spoke wheel or a mag? I have several spoke wheels (with rusty spokes), and a 19x2.15 mag wheel off a 650SR.

Tell me are the gpz projects for sale? Also, does anyone know if there is a big difference in the frame of an LTD or a Standard

I don't need to buy a wheel. I just need to know if the KZ400 and KZ650 wheels are interchangeable. I've got a KZ400 front wheel and I want to know if it will work in a KZ650 fork set. Thats it.

Who said buy? I'd answer the question before assuming anything... I'm not speaking for steell, but there are some nice guys around here and I wouldn't be surprised if someone would be willing to part with a spare just to clear out some space and see it put to use.

You've already got a wheel and some forks? Try to put the two together and see if it works.

If I felt like taking it all apart just to chance it and see if they will fit I would.... otherwise I figured someone may know if the wheels are different widths at the axles.

The answer would appear to be "no."

With enough work, anything will fit

You could do a search in the archives for "wheel bearings" and I know there was a thread that listed the front and rear wheel bearing sizes for the various models.

Whether or not the axles are the same size depends on the year of the 400.

You should be able to measure the width of the wheel at the axle without taking it apart. Or just measure the distance between the fork tubes on a 650 and the 400. I see that you have a 400 in your sig, if you don't have the triple for the 650 forks, I can go out to the garage and measure a 650 tomorrow night.

I measured and it turns out that the rotors for the 650 adn the 400 are VERY different build and diameter... so thats gonna be a hassle anyhow.

I'm just gonna try to track down a KZ650 front wheel (Or one that will fit perfectly in my KZ650 forks...)
