Are you sure the wheels are from an 82 1000 Ltd? A link &/or pics of what you have might help.
From the diagrams at Partzilla the 82 1000-CSR & Ltd have the same axles & bearings.
Dan's on-line motorcycle repair course has a couple of bearing charts.
Z1Enterprises.com has All-Balls kits w oil seals for a number of models.

Is there a specific number on the rim that would be most helpful?

For starters you could post the wheel sizes & whether or not they say Tubeless.
They will have other numbers, but I'm not sure if those will be much help.
Or you could take some bearing & axle measurements .

What about the front wheel or did you only get a cast alloy for the rear?
eebbaayy, salvage yard or what?
It might help to post good pics or a link. otherwise, it's just guesswork.
Does the axle fit the Rr wheel? you could take some measurements then check out the bearing charts at the Dan's mc repair course.

I haven't quite figured out how to post a picture yet it keeps telling me the pictures exceed size limit and I didn't realize the bearings were to small until I transferred the rotor and hub assembly and trued to put the rim on the bike I only got the rear mag I plan on going back to the spokes as soon as i can afford to replace the spokes. The mag came from eBay the dot number matches I'm beginning to think this rim was put on a smaller bike the tire size and rim size are alike and all the components fit exactly just the bearings are smaller then the axle

Since it has a disk, the wheel might be from a KZ750-H Ltd.
It should be simple to take some measurements of the bearing & axle and compare stuff at Partzilla,
From Dan's mc site, I guess you'd need the 6204 bearings (47x20x14W) to mate your axle to the wheel. But you should take some measurements first & reference the diagrams to double-check. And I don't know if there will be other fitment issues.

Ok so I've returned the mag rim I got that had the incorrect bearing size and looking for the right rim of course I'm slightly gun shy on this now I don't want to go through all this again is there any specific number on the rim that will tell me that the bearing sizes will match or indicate the year of the rim?

I'm confused about this issue. What seems to be the problem? You should be able to measure the axle size and the wheel bearing OD and then order the bearings you need. What am I missing?
