I'm in the process of lacing up the rear wheel. While it's apart I'd like to clean/polish the hub.
What is the best process to get it looking like new?

I use a sisal buffing wheel and black cutting compound. If course this assumes you can get the wheel on the various surfaces.

Find someone to glass bead it 1st for you. Then use some wet sand paper 600 grit then 1000 or 1200.
Then you need a electric motor buffer!!! ! No hand drills! Or screw guns!! You need real RPM's 1700 or 3400.
Red or white compound will work.
Spend 2 or 3 beers checking these people out! They have everything from A to Z
It would take me about an hour to get it all pretty!
