Hello Wondering the history of the DUNLOP GOLD SEAL F6 front tire front. 3.25 x 19" front.
I know it was used by factory in 73-74 era. Most japanese motorcycles.
I just am not sure. It has not seen the light of day in 20 plus years.
I am not a Historian, but I hope it is worth some good $$$.
No, it might not go over 100mph, but it might.
Very Nice for an original restoration show bike or a collectors garage or trohpy room.
Thanks for any opinions or critisiscm

I saved this wheel because of my good friend Jim. We grew up together and ran bikes etc. Jim ran a Top Fuel eventually Kawi with the likes of Elmer Trett, Larry Spiderman Mcbride, John Sands, Jammie Morroco.
Broadway Kawasaki Brian Johnson (Drug Dealer) bastard! FBI

That was the first thing to go on my bike when I bought it. It loved the raiin grooves so much it was frightening.

Why don't you post this over on www.kawasaki-z-classik.com ? Those tires are rather rare.

I read somewhere that there is a good market for those nos gold seal tyres . Some of these concours show bikes aren't really made to be ridden about much.

Seems like UV and sunlight is what degrades tyres over time, maybe keeping it in the dark has helped to preserve it.

Mega rare and almost impossible to find bits like that can really take off on ebay if you have a few bidders fighting over it. Also look at the value of a perfect 'out of the showroom' z1

Capitalism rules! Tire is going on ebay. So is the Z1R disc.
Yes the beam deflector will hang on the garage wall!
I forget how tire was put on?
It is on a 1977 date code takasago rim. KZ 4 bolt hub?
Sure that old tire sucks, so did the 1st Z1 28mm carbs. suck, cold blooded, hard to tune etc.
In the late 70's thru the mid 80's. Hanging out with the Race Visions "Puppet" The Richie Rich Racing guys at Broadway Kawasaki dealership. (Thats when the FBI impounded it (drug ring)
And all the bikers in my hood, we all beat the hell out of the Z's, we traded, chopped up, crashed, raced, made them disappear etc.
Plus the chemicals mixed with beer? I can't remeber 1/2 the things we did.
I'm just ramblin on! Snow storm of the century today! my garage is burried!

Just what I was wondering, tyres aren't cheap even today -and a dealership would be doing tyres all the time I guess so not so much eye candy on the wall in the70's....but today it is .
Maybe really badly out of balanced or bead damaged during fitting perhaps? Or maybe the real mc coy for someone looking for one.

Z1kzonly interesting ramblin, I've often wondered about previous owners of bikes. Between my four zeds in the garage, probably 30 plus previous owners...I'm sure they all have a story to tell.
