Hope not. Had a spare M/C I bought off ebay ( Chinese ) I believe is 14mm. Used that on my CBX years back. Seems to work fine.

Also, on my 77' Front Hub. Can it mount another Disc Brake opposite the L side where the single is? I'm assuming you remove the Dust Shield and not use the axle spacer?

Plummen, That's kind of what I thought. I couldn't see Kawasaki making 2 different hubs.

Just remove the chrome cover. There should be 4 threaded holes for a second disc already there. Btw, you still have to have the axle spacer to keep the wheel centered.

Thanks Doug, Just trying to do my Homework before I get started. Just need to locate a couple of drilled discs, later KZ's I believe should work.

kzdcw wrote: Plummen, Looks like they would. So I'm assuming the overall width of the disc and the overall height where it bolts to the wheel hub is the same? Now do I need another front wheel hub? Also, still want to use the front brake switch splitter, can I reuse mine and run 2 separate brake lines of the bottom to each caliper?

Single disk rotor is thicker than dual disk rotor, so use two matching rotors.

Yeah, you can use that damn splitter if you want, but I use a later model master cylinder that has a brake light switch bolted on. and two lines from the master cylinder, one to each caliper. Braided stainless steel of course.
ZX11, ZG1000 and lots of others use the same master cylinder, rectangular in shape with hole for mirror and it's own brake light switch. And rebuild kits are easily found.

I have 1980 KZ1000 rotors with 1983 GPz calipers and a 96 GPz1100 (same as ZX11, etc) master cylinder on my 750 twin. The master cylinder is a 15mm, and I can lock the front wheel easily with two fingers. I have no inclination at all to install a 1/2" master cylinder, as then I would have to devote to much attention to avoid locking the wheel, at a time when I have no attention to spare.

In an actual comparison between my 79 750 twin and a 84 750 Turbo (GPZ), my bike stopped 30' shorter than the 750 Turbo. And that's a lot!

YMMV, I just know what works for me.

Good Advice and I appreciate your input. I like using a single brake line to each caliper too and avoid the splitter on the lower triple tree. Less chances to leak The M/C that I currently have on the Bike does have the brake light switch. I guess I could move the brake switch wires that are currently attached to the stock brake pressure switch and move them up to the master. Since they are "female" bullet ends, should be able to change them to fasten to the M/Cc switch which has just 2 flat tabs.

I am running a master from a 98 zx9..works great, although I had to wire the switch. I have a dual splutter with the switch that you can have for the price of shipping. Check out my build thread as I have just completed the same swap. I am running the two different rotors temporarily as one of my duals was warped, it works great.
Mine:
04 Honda rebel 250(wifes)
04 GSXR 750(bolt on galore)
98 CBR 600F3(filter, pipe, adjustable cam sprokets, dyno tune)
76 KZ900A (LTD gauge pods, crash bars, LTD(style)pipes, dyna coils and ignition, headwork and mild port cleanup by cavanaugh racing, K&N filter pods, heck I dunno.
