That's right around the range I got in the primary coil. I'm not at the shop right now but post my results.

Oops I meant secondary is 22Kohms to 24Kohms.... Primary is 4-5 ohms... sorry!!!

Also the trouble with coils is they sit right above a hot engine and on a hot day the little rascals just take it an cook and over the years they just get tired of doing their part when they get hot again, My 76 900 is having that problem right now . Ride for a while and shut it off for five minutes and the first big handful of throttle brings major missing and bucking, as soon as the cool air blows past the coils it straightens up and flys right. Coils are now ordered to go along with new plugs and points which I replaced first.
Other than that all is good and have enjoyed the heck out of it all summer.

The results are in. At the 20k setting, I was getting around 8.0 for the primary and at 200k I was getting around 76.0 for the secondary. Definitely not what the manuals says. Still confused though because when I would attach the tester leads, the ohms would consistently decrease over the duration of contact.
