Hey guys, looking for a little help with my '82 GPz 750 ... Turn the key, nothing happens at all. No lights come on, no whirrs or clicks or buzzes, nothing. Did this before and I replaced the main fuse and hey presto, it worked. This time, no dice. Replaced the other two fuses for good measure. Nothing.

The battery is fully charged, I have checked it twice since this started.

Any obvious culprits before the multi meter comes out?

Thanks

I would clean all contacts with Deoxit, and replace all fuses, sometimes fuses look good but they are not, and hopefully this is all you need.
I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

Same thing happened to me at a gas station. It was the main fuse. Easy fix but you should always carry spares. Better yet. replace the glass fuses with automotive blade type fuses.

Fuses, battery contacts or battery cable connections. If no luck, ignition switch.

yes, also handlebar engine killswitch, the tacho needle should twitch when the ignition is ON and it is switched to RUN, if not test light battery + live going to coils . Also check for continuity between main fuse in and out of ignition switch to other fuses.
