36mm mikuni flat slides on 76 Kz 900 with 1075 kit, 3x cams and heads ported with kibble white valves. What would make one of the slides in a carb slap REALLY loudly ? I know the carbs are loud but this one is way to loud.

Mikuni RS 34's & 36's are notorious for making that loud clapping / slapping noise
I have RS 34's on my 1980 LTD 1000 with a 1075 kit, ported head, stock cams, Vance & Hines , & K&N pods, & sometimes you can hear the carbs clattering over the sound of the motor running, but my bike runs great, I thought there was something wrong with the carbs too when I put them on my bike over 5 yrs. ago
