Stock cams, VM 26's? 17.5 pilots/117.5 mains? Try 20 pilots and 125 mains.

What year and model do you have? Put the baffle back in. You will want a stage 2 cam for the street. Stock cams will work but you are wasting cc's. Did you buy the kit used?

Steve, the bike is a 1978 A2A. I purchased the kit new, I just finished a full rebuild, almost everything new except the crank. I haven't pulled the baffle out yet , just wanted a bit more flow and more sound but if you think I should leave it in I will. I was told it was a older V/H because it has a straight through baffle(I can see all the way through). The head is also rebuilt with hd springs lifters...etc. No porting was done.

I have three baffles for my V/H exhaust. Stock, competition and drag. I've been running the competition since I bought them new in 97. I have 33mm Miks. I tried the largest and lost mid and top end, plus it was too loud. I put in the stock one and it was like I put a cork in the muffler. Not jetted for it. The hot street one works the best and sounds great. You can buy them I think on Z1E. I have 1X cams. You should get some hot street cams to go with all the work you've done. As it is, it will work but the cams will make all the difference. Once you fit the cams, they are drop in, you can buy some bigger carbs. The jets you can buy locally and ride the piss out of it.
