Hey guysinm new here with a question. I've got my eyes on a 1976 kz900 motor. My question is are there a set of cv carbs out there that will fit right up to it? Thanks in advance.

The KZ 900 didn't come with CV carbs. You'd be better off with some VM 26 or 28's.
CV carbs are a PITA.

The motor has the stock carbs but plan on a blowthrough turbo setup and the cv's are really easy to use wwith a blow through setup and I don't want to spend big bucks for a set of carbs. I know alot of people hate cv carbs but I've always had really good luck with them

'81 and up J model 1000 carbs, or cop bike carbs. ELR carbs would be good too. You will need to use J model intake manifolds to mount these carbs.

The carburetors BlackZ1R is referring to are Mikuni CV 34MM.
I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

From what I've been reading the KZP's had limiter holes in the slides. In the past the Susy's and Kaw's were interchangeable, not Honda's. I don't know about now.

...the CV34mm on the big kawi 1100's were also on the 700/750's, also the early twin shock suzuki gsx1100 and 750.

Jets and needle might be different but I find searching with the right keywords on ebay can get bits a lot cheaper. Good carbs for the 1100's are worth decent money now.

If you can tolerate tweaking the carb spacings and rejetting, there are probably some less sought after CV carbs for newer bikes with the same OD that would do the job, I guess with a blow through turbo you will expect some CV carbtuning either way.
