I've had problems with my carbs since I bought this bike, and just within the past month realized one of the previous owners had replaced the original slide with a 1980 Mikuni slide (the one with the spring loaded needle, and plastic needle retainer). So my question is, can I fit the 1980 needle jet in my carb body, and is the one I'm looking for a Z-4?

Restoring / simplifying 1976 KZ750-B1
Mikuni BS38 carbs '76 w/ slide & needle from '80
Compression - 160 L, 155 R
New EMGO Ignition Coil
Starter motor and chain removed
